The Board of directors approved the KAMAZ business plan for 2021

Naberezhnye Chelny, December 15, 2020 – Sergey Chemezov, director general of Rostec State Corporation, chaired the final meeting of the Board of directors of KAMAZ PTC this year in Naberezhnye Chelny. Members of the Board of directors listened and took into account the information on the implementation of the business plan of the group of organizations of KAMAZ for ten months of 2020.

The Board of Directors discussed and approved the business plan of the organizations of KAMAZ PTC for 2021. The planned implementation in 2021 will be 37,000 trucks. 32,000 of them will be delivered to the Russian market, the rest – for export.

According to the plan, the volume of investments in 2021 will be more than 16.7 billion rubbles (app. 188.520.000 €); 13 billion (app. 146.720.000 €) of them will be allocated for the development of the model range, and more than 1 billion (app 11.288.600 €) for research and development work.

The main goals to be set for the company in the direction of developing sales of KAMAZ vehicles in 2021: increase of KAMAZ’S market share to 51% due to the growth of sales of the new model range to 11,000 units (2020: 8,500 units).); strengthening the position of KAMAZ in the segments of truck tractors and special equipment; launch of new models of the K5 generation (6×2 truck tractor, 6×4, 6×6 and 8×4 dump trucks); development of the model range of gas-powered vehicles, including the sale of 1,000 KAMAZ-5490 CNG and LNG-powered gas-powered tractors and the introduction of KAMAZ-54901 to the market.

„Despite the difficult situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic, KAMAZ has been working ahead of the business plan during this difficult period“, said Sergey Kogogin, CEO of the company, commenting on the results of operations in the past year and plans for the next year. „I am sure that we will carry this positive attitude and the pace of work to the next year. Consumers are waiting for our products, there are orders, and we will make every effort to fulfil the plans outlined in the business plan for 2021“, added Mr. Kogogin.
