IVECO BUS delivers new E-WAY midibuses to Slovenian city of Maribor
October 15, 2025
Vénissieux, October 15, 2025 – As part of European Mobility Week, the municipality of Maribor is reinforcing its commitment to sustainable mobility with the addition of four new 9.5-meter electric IVECO BUS E-WAY midibuses to its urban electric fleet. These vehicles complement the existing E-WAY fleet already in service, marking another key milestone in the Slovenian city’s strategy to reduce emissions and advance the greening of the local transport network.

Fully accessible and capable of carrying up to 64 passengers, the new E-WAY midibuses will operate on lines P7, P17, and P19. With this delivery, the municipality’s electric fleet now totals 14 vehicles, covering five fully zero-emission routes. The newly electrified lines, connected to the existing G5 and G6 lines, help improve overall air quality and living conditions for residents of Maribor.

“This delivery marks another important step in our support for the city of Maribor in implementing a greener and more efficient transport system,” said Giorgio ZINO, Head of IVECO BUS Commercial Operations in Europe. “Our E-WAY model is designed to deliver high performance and meet the strictest environmental standards.”
Every emission-free kilometer driven by electric buses helps make Maribor a more livable and sustainable city. With their compact dimensions – 9.5 meters long and only 2.33 meters wide – the E-WAY midibuses stand out for their maneuverability and agility, ideal for navigating the narrow streets of the city center.
