GAZ off-road pickup for extreme condition

Nizhny Novgorod, August 23, 2017 – GAZ Group presents at the International Military Technical Forum “Army-2017” a prototype of the off-road truck – pickup Vepr-Next. The vehicle is designed for work in the forest and hunting farms, oil and gas industry, autonomous travels.
In the design of the vehicle high cross-country ability and excellent off-road abilities of Sadko family are combined with comfort and ergonomics of Next generation. The vehicle based on GAZ-33088 Sadko components has great off-road abilities. Rigidly connected front axle, self-locking differentials in front and rear axles, an underdrive, pumping and pneumatic adjustment of wheels, high ground clearance, large approach/departure angles, 18-inch wheel disks with cross-country tires and powerful mechanical winch allows the vehicle to overcome the most difficult obstacles.
At the same time, the vehicle provides a driver and passengers a high level of ergonomics and comfort, unordinary for an off-road truck. Spacious and comfortable cabin with a wide door opening is equipped with sprung driver’s seat with anatomical support, five levels of adjustment and lumbar prop.
There is a metal platform with a rear drop side installed on the vehicle. Gross vehicle weight – 6,850 kg, payload capacity – 2.5 t. Overall length – 6,430 mm, width – 2,268 mm. Clearance – 315 mm, fordable depth – 950 mm. Underdrive gear ratio is 1:1.982. Vepr Next pickup is equipped with modern diesel engine YaMZ-534 – 149 HP power with a maximum torque of 490 Nm.
