DAF-Monopoly-orderHannover, September 29, 2014 – Monopoly, one of Russia’s largest companies specialized in transportation of conditioned food products, will be buy 700 new DAF XF trucks to expand its fleet. The order was signed at the IAA exhibition in Hanover by Ilya Dmitriev and Maxim Onyfrienko, Monopoly directors, Marcel Verbeeten, general director of DAF dealer Terra Truck and Ron Bonsen, member of the DAF Board of Management and responsible for Marketing & Sales. Delivery of the vehicles will take place this and next year. As a result of the new order, the fleet of Monopoly will grow to over 1.000 units of which 700 DAF trucks. Read more…

Golaz Bus with SpherosGilching/Sochi, January 22, 2014 – Spheros has received a contract worth about € 5.5 million to install heating and air conditioning in a total of 850 GOLAZ and MAZ buses for the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi.

The preparations for this major project have been underway since 2011, when the Russian GAZ Group and the Belarusian MAZ Group were declared official bus suppliers to the Olympic Winter Games 2014.

The Olympic dream thus also came true for bus air conditioning manufacturer Spheros. In the past few months Spheros has installed climate control systems in 400 GOLAZ and 450 MAZ buses: not only – as one may expect – heaters and water pumps, but also series-manufactured air conditioning units. As President and CEO of GAZ Group Vadim Sorokin will be in charge of strategic and operational management of the Company. In parallel he will also stay at the helm of LCV Division. Mr Sorokin has been working in GAZ Group since 2008. Before taking on the top job in the Division he was serving as First deputy Chairman of the Management board of the Company on operating activities. Since 2009 he has headed LCV Division, which has become during this  time a flagship business of GAZ Group in creating new products, greater production efficiency and financial performance. Since 2010 Vadim Sorokin has been responsible for GAZ Group strategy development and has managed implementation of the best competences of LCV Division in the field of development and production line up technologies on all businesses of GAZ Group. KAM_RnNaberezhnye Chelny, December  17, 2013 – OOO KAMAZ-MARCO, the joint venture of KAMAZ and the Brazilian company Marcopolo S.A., signed an agreement on delivery of seven suburban buses to one of the world`s top publicly traded oil and gas companies – Rosneft.
